Making Drones Work for New York (Tech:NYC

  • Tech:NYC hosted a half-day summit with Mayor Eric Adams and the top commissioners of NYC’s most critical government teams to demonstrate that despite (or actually, because of) the challenges of a busy, dense urban environment, New York is well-positioned to set the standard on drone usage. Think less scaffolding when buildings need to be inspected; less traffic when bridges undergo routine maintenance checks; less disruption to residential buildings when construction is happening nearby — these are all upgrades the technology can help us achieve to the benefit of everyday New Yorkers.

No doubt, Tech:NYC will be spending a lot of time on these questions.
