Tech:NYC Launches Tech Takes Action to Support NY's Immigrants

Dear Tech:NYC Member,The Tech:NYC team has been hard at work building a platform to encourage engagement across our membership—particularly at the employee level. We’re excited to launch that platform, Tech Takes Action, today at www.technyc.org/techtakesaction.Tech Takes Action will be regularly updated with a curated list of ways to get involved—by speaking up, giving back, and chipping in, all with a local focus. We’ll be tying those opportunities to current events; in light of the Administration’s recent announcement on DACA, we are launching now with three opportunities surrounding immigration. What we need from you: We hope that you will share this platform internally with your teams and across social networks (proposed language for both below). Tech Takes Action will only be successful if we get the right buy-in from our community and we need your help in leading that.In our first year, Tech:NYC was incredibly successful at organizing company leaders (e.g., all of you). As we enter our second year, we are exploring ways to provide opportunities for engagement across teams as well.
