You’re invited: NYC Mayoral Forum on April 8 @ 4pm

Tech:NYC was founded to foster a dynamic, diverse, and creative New York, and core to that mission is to bring together our network of tech leaders directly with local government leaders to support the city we all love. This year, NYC will hold its Mayoral primary election on June 22, which will be followed by the general election on November 2. Not only is this the first time NYC will have an open election for Mayor since Tech:NYC’s founding, but it is also the first time ever that voters will cast primary ballots using ranked choice voting. As part of our ongoing commitment to support our community’s civic engagement efforts, Tech:NYC is thrilled to be hosting a virtual forum with the leading New York City mayoral candidates on Thursday, April 8th at 4pm ET. The forum will be moderated by Josh Barro of Insider and Right, Left & Center.
We hope this forum will provide an opportunity for all of your company’s employees to hear directly from the candidates running for Mayor and to learn more about their plans to support the tech industry and the city at large. Given the profile of NYC’s voting population, it is likely that the outcome of the primary election will determine the outcome of the November election. As New York’s vaccine rollout progresses — and the city more fully turns its attention to long-term recovery efforts — the stakes for this year’s elections are incredibly high.
— and share this opportunity with your colleagues to encourage them to do the same.
