Mayoral Debate and Voter Registration Update
Today's your last chance to register to vote!
Today's your last chance to register to vote!

While it may not immediately seem like it on the surface, this week was important for New York City politics. Two things happened that we think you should know about.
First, today (Friday, October 13) is your last chance to register to vote for this year’s Mayoral election and the 2018 primaries in New York if you haven’t specified a political party in the past or would like to change party affiliation. We encourage you to briefly check your registration status to make sure all of your key information, including your party enrollment, are up to date.Second, this week's mayoral debate between Mayor Bill de Blasio, Assemblywoman Nicole Malliotakis, and Mr. Bo Dietl was a bit of a circus, with one candidate getting his mic cut off for yelling out of turn and at least one audience member ejected for heckling. While some critical issues, including public transit, were addressed, there was no mention of technology and job growth, despite those issues being incredibly important to most New Yorkers. Let's hope they address it during the second debate on November 1.We hope you register to vote and show up for Election Day on November 7!
