Friday! If you’re hoping to sneak off to your weekend a bit early, you have our support. Here’s another short, summer Friday-inspired digest:

  • A quick round of updates:

    • ICYMI: this week, the CDC released comprehensive new guidelines that would mean sweeping changes for American offices. (New York Times) See our recap of the guidelines here.

    • Five upstate regions will be allowed to move into Phase 2 of the state’s reopening plan today, which includes all office-based jobs. To that end, the state also released new guidelines for office-based work.

    • Gov. Cuomo is projecting NYC will begin Phase 1 of the reopening plan the week of June 8th. (NBC New York) This means the following industries will resume operations: construction, manufacturing, wholesale, and nonessential retail.

  • Today is the last day to register to vote for the June 23 presidential and local primaries. If you’re a new voter or have recently moved, find details for how to complete your registration here. (And reminder: all New Yorkers are eligible to vote absentee. Details for how to get your ballot in the mail are here.)

  • One housekeeping reminder: if you haven’t already, be sure to add us ([email protected]) to the contacts in your inbox so future digests don’t get lost.

See you Monday!
