Two years in: Tech:NYC's proof of concept

Tech:NYC is two years old. In our first year, we demonstrated that New York’s tech leaders were eager to come together to better support our city and state. In our second year, we put the power of our engaged community—of more than 600+ member companies—to work in Albany and at City Hall.Today, we release our second annual report, highlighting many of our biggest moments from the last year and accomplishments from our diverse membership. This year, we hosted more than 50 events; fought hard in NYC, Albany, and Washington, D.C. on issues like computer science education, immigration, and net neutrality; and celebrated big tech wins that show how quickly our ecosystem is growing. We were especially proud to have facilitated connections between 220 of our member companies and elected officials in the past year.Still, this is only the beginning. Technology in New York continues to thrive—it is responsible for 326,000 jobs citywide and that number promises to grow. Tech:NYC looks forward to growing alongside our members, hosting more events, fighting for the values we believe in, and celebrating all that sets New York, and our community, apart.Thank you all for supporting us for the past two years, and we can’t wait to work alongside you for years to come.JulieP.S.
